Root Cause Analysis

The Problem

Auditors of the RA Certification process face challenging cases where the origin of the problem is not always clear. Arriving at a clear root cause determines the evaluation of the auditing-seeking party, the process they have to follow and the solution to achieve certification-ready status. The role of auditors is also to support and advice on how to make whichever part of the food process more sustainable, so identifying the root-cause is key.

Together with SMEs in auditing process, auditors and analysts I decided on learning objectives and materials. I piloted the materials, gathered feedback and finalized the e-course.

Then, I developed a prototype, and shared with stakeholders for feedback before creating the final solution.

A five-step E-course designed to equip auditors with practical methodologies and strategies they can apply directly in their work.

Each step is structured as a dedicated module, combining a custom-produced explainer video, ready-to-use templates to support each stage of the analysis, and concise cheat sheets highlighting key concepts for use during the auditing process. Grounded in real-life scenarios, the course features multiple case studies that demonstrate how to apply the steps effectively in complex and challenging situations.
